That disc would eventually be released separately outside of Japan for the PS1 as Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions (Metal Gear Solid: Special Missions in PAL regions). The most notable change in this edition is the inclusion of a third disc filled with hundreds of VR training missions. It was later released outside of Japan for the PC in 2000. Metal Gear Solid: Integral is an expanded version of the first Metal Gear Solid game released for the PS1 in Japan in 1999.
